Ëyê-laka Îè covers an area of nearly 421 km2 (168 mi2), and an average elevation of 748 m (2454 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Ëyê-laka Îè was founded durring the early 15th century in summer of the year 1420, by Trêtco. The establishment of Ëyê-laka Îè was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Ëyê-laka Îè's construction back out of the project. Trêtco pushed on reguardles, and Ëyê-laka Îè was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Ëyê-laka Îè was built using the conventions of Iron Elvish durring the early 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Ëyê-laka Îè is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Ëyê-laka Îè is is constructed arround a series of premissive carved bedrock mainstreets which form overlapping circles, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to eachother at varrious points. The city has a defencive wall made from large clay bricks. The wall is constructed to the exact specifications of millitary fortifications, but the nature of its clay brick construction leaves it vulnerable to even outdated siege equipment. That said, the city is well defended against anything short of an army. Unfortuantly, these brittle defences are in extreem disrepair, so much so that one cannot tell if they are decaying from a lack of mantance or damage incured.

Something in your gut tells you that you may be unwelcome in Ëyê-laka Îè. The town seems like it’s not showing you the side of itself it would show to others. People mostly ignore your questions. Many folks ask you to leave their establishments, even before you’ve walked inside them. You should probably listen to them, as every time you’re asked to leave the person asking you to leave has referenced the town’s patron divine in some way. The little voice in the back of your mind that tells you when you’re in danger feels like it’s just glaring at you and muttering about how stupid you are for even remaining in town.

Points of Interest

Ëyê-laka Îè is a major trade hub, connecting several important cities or resource production areas. It’s probably at an important river juncture, ancient crossroads, or occupying the only safe path through some perilous wilderness. Its position may be important enough that it can survive on trade alone, despite being unable to feed itself with the surrounding land. Such hubs are usually heavily garrisoned by the lord who profits from their tariffs and taxes.

Ëyê-laka Îè's is something of a geological and arcane anomaly, as neither physical nor magical law entirely explains its formation.

History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century the Kami solved a major long term problem plaguing the town. One of Ëyê-laka Îè's local festivals commemorates this miracle.
